Back on the Ever Star, Carter Jensen had his team in position. He had sent half around the other side to catch the Kaltari in a crossfire. Just as he had thought, the bulkhead doors went up and Hades Team opened fire. The Kaltari began to retreat down the hallway with Carter and his two teammates giving chase. The Kaltari didn’t make it far before the other half of Hades Team arrived. One of the Kaltari, seeing that the boarding party was a failure, decided to charge at Carter. Carter was allowing his rifle to cooldown and began to reach for his sidearm when the Ever Star went dark as the EMP from the Kaltari carrier had activated. Carter floated and positioned himself so he would land on his feet. He could see the Kaltari soldier floating in front of him. He reached for his sidearm and as he took the shot, the Ever Star’s systems came back on. Hades Team hit the ground and Carter landed on his feet and holstered his sidearm. Hades Team has successfully repelled one of the poorest ship boardings in history. With the help of Eagle Squadron who had taken out most of the troop transports.
